Winner of the 2022 ‘Best of Moore & South OKC’ award!

Classen Medical Complex, is proud to announce our Classen Urgent Care Moore location in winning the prominent ‘Best of Moore and South OKC’ Award for Best Urgent Care.

Classen Urgent Care – Moore, in Moore, Oklahoma was one of 8 urgent care facilities nominated in the “Best of Moore and South OKC” awards in 2022.

We were presented the winning trophy on July 12, 2022 during the awards dinner at the OCCC Performing Arts Center.

We currently have only very few doses left.  We can not reserve for anyone.  Please do not call to ask about the availability, as this will change by the time you get here.  We have to examine and assess your severity of illness and history to come up with the best course of therapy that is currently available to us.

We have been seeing a steady increase, however, this seems to be getting a bit worse.  Add this matter to the fact that the government is soon to be running out of MonoClonal Antibodies (MCA’s), it makes for a very worrisome next few months.  The infusions are supposed to be commercially available by 8/15/2022, but there are a whole lot of things to work out by then.  There  are other treatments available, but our experience has shown that the MCA’s are better tolerated with less side effects.

Also, Novavax COVID-19 vaccine is now available.  This vaccine is made unlike the ones like Pfizer and Moderna (MRNA vaccines).  This vaccine is made like the traditional Flu vaccines and can not be mixed or used as a booster to the MRNA vaccines.

Effective July 16th, 2022, we will continue providing Monoclonal Antibody Infusions up to 3 hours prior to closing times for either of our clinics.  This means Moore clinic will be able to provide this service 7 days per week from 7am-5pm and the Norman clinic will until 7pm also 7 days per week.  As usual, you do not need an appointment.

For anyone with opioids in the home, Narcan is available for FREE by mail through the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. NO doctor’s visit or prescription is required. It’s also available at many pharmacies across the state.

The Department recommends that anyone with opioids in the home should have Naloxone (Narcan) in the home. This medication is used to reverse the effects of opioid overdose, allowing an overdose victim to breathe normally. It is not addictive and cannot be abused.

Our new building is coming along and we are hoping to move in by June, 2022.  Our new Classen Urgent Care Moore and Classen Family Medicine Moore is 3 times larger than our current space.  We are all very excited!
